5 ways to engage with your clients

You want to keep your clients engaged and keep them talking about your company long after your interactions with them are complete. How you engage with them could make all the difference between repeated referrals and return business, and loosing business. Here are 5 was to engage with your clients to keep them coming back:

Get on the Social Media bandwagon: Adding your clients on social media from the start of your interactions can keep your clients engaged in your business offerings both actively and passively for years to come. Taking the initial step to add them may take a few extra seconds (less if your CRM is doing its job and automatically locating new client social media profiles) but will pay dividends down the line.

Keep them updated with a newsletter: A regular newsletter doesn't have to be terribly time consuming, and can touch on company successes, new innovations, and/or newsworthy information in your industry. With a little planning, your newsletter can not only keep clients informed about your company, but also keep you on the forefront of their mind.

Send regular (non-spamy!) updates: A bit of customer good-will goes a long way towards a lasting and repeated relationship. Sending a quick follow up message to your client, both during the process of helping the client, and after your business is complete, makes clients feel connected and valued.

Offer your expertise: You are an expert on your business, and you have knowledge and insight that your clients can benefit from - without you divulging trade secrets or hurting your bottom line. A brief YouTube video or blog post on an area that you know something about is a good way to reach new and existing clients.

Host a client appreciation event: Whether at a physical location with clients invited to cocktails and conversation, or an online appreciation event offering giveaways in exchange for client interaction, client appreciation is an added perk that goes a long way.
